Lara H. Schwartz
is senior counsel for the Human Rights Campaign, specializing in federal legislation on taxes, benefits and other issues that affect the everyday lives of LGBT people and their families. Following a clerkship on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, Ms. Schwartz was in private practice, where she focused on securities litigation and regulatory work, insurance litigation, legislative redistricting, and voting, housing and disability rights. She is admitted to the bars of Maryland and Washington, D.C.
